FAQs
What equipment do you use?
We shoot all images digitally with professional Nikon equipment. We bring backup gear, lots of lenses, batteries and flashes.
Can we give you a shot list of photographs we want you to take?
A suggestion of a few images that may be unique to you can be helpful, but a "checklist" is counterproductive to the way we work. "Shot lists" provided by bridal magazines and/or blogs are a good idea for you as a client, but we will usually capture those images without prompting.
Why do you provide all of my pictures in a printed format vs a disc?
We believe marriages are for a lifetime & unfortunately our current technology will not last that long. We want you to look back at your wedding pictures with your children and your grandchildren and remember the love you shared. We are sure that years from now you will not huddle around a pc or even pick up a tablet to look at pictures, but we are sure if you have a printed image you will be able to view it for a lifetime.
How do we book you for our wedding?
In order to reserve the date, a 1/3 retainer and a signed contract are required to secure the date. Dates are held on a first come, first served basis.
What does the complimentary engagement session include?
We include a 30 minute get-to-know-you engagement session with every package. All sessions are done at the Reading Museum, unless other arrangements have been made. There may be an additional fee to travel to other locations. All images are posted to a personal gallery on our website & can be ordered al-a-carte.
How long does it take to get our pictures after the wedding?
We strive to have all pictures to our newlyweds within 4 weeks.
Do you have back up photographers in the event of an emergency
We have 6 photographers that are capable and fully trained to shoot for our studio. We only book 4 weddings per day. This leaves two of our photographers "on-call" should an emergency arise. We have never had to go to a back-up and pray we never do.
Do we need to feed you at the reception?
Yes, please. It doesn't have to be the same as your sit-down meal, but we would truly appreciate a "hot meal". Feeding us ensures we will stay happy and continue shooting to our full abilities. We also prefer to be fed when you are fed, not afterwards, because when you are eating you are not at your most photogenic and when you are done, we want to be able to continue shooting your wedding.
